Plans for Janice being finalised

Apr 18, 1997 02:00 AM

Kerr-McGee Oil (UK) (50.9 %) and its partners, Phillips Petroleum UK (24.4 %), Agip (UK) (18.2 %), and Svenska Petroleum Exploration UK (6.5 %) are finalising the optimum development plan for the Janice field, offshore United Kingdom.
Reservoir engineering and geologic data indicate that oil in place is in excess of 200 million barrels. Kerr-McGee's preliminary reservoir engineering simulation estimates reserve recovery in the core area at 60-70 million barrels of oil. The development plan will combine the most current technology with existing infrastructure to optimise reserve recoveries from the core area and adjacent potential areas.
