GasAtacama pipeline project signs contracts
July 3, 1997 The GasAtacama pipe line project of northern Chile, owned by Endesa and U.S. CMS Energy, signed contracts with Argentinean companies Pluspetrol Energy, Astra and YPF. The Argentinean companies will supply the GasAtacama project with natural gas from Argentina. The GasAtacama project will use the natural gas for 2 of its thermal-hydroelectric plants in northern Chile. GasAtacama said the companies will supply 3.55 mm cmpd for 15 years. It added that Pluspetrol and Astra will contribute 2.7 mm cmpd and YPF will provide 900,000 cmpd.
