Investments expected in power generation in Mexico
The Spanish Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) will issue the tender this year for a 1 billion peso petroleum fired
power plant for electricity generation in the state of Sonora, Mexico. Construction is expected to last 5
years.
Companies from Pacific Rim nations, especially Korea, have $ 150 million in investments budgeted for Mexico,
according to Yoon Bong Seo, researcher from the Department of Pacific Studies at the University of Guadalajara.
