Kazakhs support oil pipeline via Turkey to Mediterranean
Kazakhstan has expressed its support for a Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline that would carry Kazakh oil to the world through
Turkey's Ceyhan port, on the Mediterranean. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said he was willing to transport
Kazakh oil to the Mediterranean, via Turkey. Nazarbayev said there was no oil pipeline going abroad from Kazakhstan
at the moment.
He said the Kazakh and Turkish prime ministers agreed to set up a working group to discuss linking Kazakh oil to
Baku, via the Caspian Sea.
