Some Argentinean banking industry association figures

A survey from the Argentinean banking industry association Aba (Associacion de Bancos de la Argentina) shows that the central region of the country accounts for 87 % of the banking deposits, 81.6 % of the cash dispenser and ATM machines, and hosts 73 % of the bank branches. Buenos Aires is the financial centre with banks located in the Argentinean capital having 54 % of the resources and hosting 20 % of the branches. One of the provinces with the highest banking developments is La Pampa with a branch for each 2,400 people and an average of Pesos$ 2, 700 deposit per inhabitant. The highest average per capita deposit is found in Tierra del Fuego with Pesos$ 4,400, that also has one of the highest density of cash dispensers per inhabitant or 1 per 4,072 people. The average Argentinean per capita banking deposit is Pesos$ 2, 383 while each bank branch has Pesos$ 17.7 mm.
