Moscow offers tax incentives for Blue Stream project

Apr 29, 1999 02:00 AM

The Goluboi Potok (Blue Stream) project for the export of Russian gas to Turkey will be entitled to a special taxation regime, following a decision made at a session of the interdepartmental working group headed by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bulgak.
After all parameters of the project are calculated, the group will set separate tax rates on the project and approve a payment schedule for these taxes. The same work will be carried out by Turkey. For this to happen, the intergovernmental agreement with Turkey must be corrected and the relevant bills should be presented to the State Duma.
