Latvia and Lithuania reach agreement on division of offshore zone

Lithuania's Foreign Ministry has announced that Vilnius had initialled an agreement with Latvia on demarcation of their common border in the Baltic Sea.
The two neighbours have clashed over rights to the offshore zone, which may contain some oil and gas deposits. The accord is likely to be ratified by the Lithuanian and Latvian parliaments within a month, the ministry said.
