Putin looking to create state oil company

According to reports Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, has given instructions to examine the question of the creation of a state oil company. State Duma Budget Committee Chairman Aleksandr Zhukov said this instruction was given at a meeting of the government on the suggestion of acting Fuel and Energy Minister Viktor Kalyuzhnyy.
Zhukov also noted that in 2000 it is planned to sell share packets of several major companies, among which he mentioned in particular shares in oil companies LUKoil, Rosneft and Slavneftand.
