Thailand to build gas ring around Bangkok
Plans by the Petroleum Authority of Thailand to build a $ 90 mm natural gas distribution grid around Bangkok have
been revived according to the Bangkok press.
The company is building the ring to promote the use of more natural gas as a replacement for oil on environmental
grounds. It is intended that the ring will replace up to 2 mm litres per day of fuel oil consumption.
The PTT would increase its natural gas supplies to 2800 mm cfpd from the present 1,700 mm.
