Gazeksport and Transgas sign deal for gas transits through Czech Republic

Nov 16, 1999 01:00 AM

At the beginning of November, the state-owned company Transgas signed a long-term contract for Russian gas transit via the Czech Republic until 2020 with the company Gazeksport, Transgas CEO Tomas Tichy told.
The contract guarantees gas transit involving 28 billion cubic meters -- that is, the current amount -- until 2008. From 2009 onwards, at least 13 billion cubic meters of gas are to be transported, although the figure might increase. Between 2000 and 2020 Transgas should receive 80-100 billion crowns for the transit.
