TGS-NOPEC and Phillips Petroleum sign agreement on 2-D Brazil data

TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA announced that they have consummated an agreement with a subsidiary of Phillips Petroleum Company that entails the licensing of data acquired in the Brasil'99 non-exclusive 2-D seismic survey. The survey covers the Santos, Campos and Espirito Santo basins of offshore Brazil.
The Brasil'99 seismic survey is an 85,000 km program being acquired jointly by TGS-NOPEC and Geco AS, a unit of Schlumberger. This data will be used by Phillips to evaluate prospective acreage offered by Agencia Nacional do Petroleo in future licensing rounds.
