Kazakhstan's major oil and gas producers report on January-June output

Kazakhstan produced 16.46 mm tons of oil in January-June, up 16.5 % on the year, an official with the Energy, Industry and Trade Ministry said. The official said, over the same period, Kazakhstan's gas production rose 22.3 % on the year to 4.296 bn cm.
The official told that Kazakhstan planned to produce 33.1 mm tons of oil and gas condensate and 9.14 bn cm of gas in 2000 compared with 26.6 mm tons of oil and 9.8 bn cm of gas last year.
