Shell to devote £100 mm to develop three North Sea fields

Shell UK is to devote £100 mm to the development of Brigantine A, B, and C gas fields in the North Sea. Shell is the operator of the project, with ExxonMobil holding the other 50 % interest.
The companies expect to extract 280 bn cf of gas. Four wells will produce gas via two unmanned, 500 ton platforms. Start-up is scheduled for January 2001, with estimated production rates of 130 m cfpd.
