Petrobras announces two new thermoelectric projects in Bolivia and Brazil

Brazil's Petrobras announced two new thermoelectric projects. One will produce power using natural gas at a site in Puerto Suarez, Bolivia. The other, also powered by natural gas, will be located in Corumba, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Brazil.
The Puerto Suarez plant will produce 110 MW of power and will be controlled by Petrobras, Duke Energy International and Brazil's Monteiro Aranha group. The Corumba project will be controlled by Petrobras and by Duke. It will also carry a capacity of 110 MW. Each project will involve investments of about $ 50 mm.
