Mexican gas distributors to invest in retail facilities at nation's gas stations
Mexican natural gas distributors plan to invest $ 500 mm in establishing retail facilities at the nation's gas
stations, Mexican Natural Gas Association (AMGN, as a Spanish acronym) President Angelica Fuentes Tellez said.
Fuentes said there currently were 2,000 vehicles in Mexico that run on natural gas and that substantial growth in the
figure was expected.
"We are expecting that 10 % of the vehicles driven in Mexico City, or 350,000 to 400,00 vehicles, will use natural
gas," Fuentes said. She said the AMGN was waiting for the Federal District government to respond to a request to
begin installing the new facilities.
