Timan-Pechora province reports increasing oil output

Oil output from the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province in Russia's Komi republic reached 4.7 mm tons for the first half of 2000, up by 2 % over the same period last year, the republic's Coal, Oil and Gas Ministry reported. Oil production on Komi territory stood at 3.37 mm tons, sliding by 8 % year-on-year. Gas condensate extraction in the republic reached 184,900 tons for the period, a 14.3% rise over last year's level. Natural gas output exceeded 1.6 bn cm, maintaining the level of last year.
