China backs plan to unite Kovyktinskoye with adjacent fields
China supports the decision of Rusia Petroleum shareholders to unite the company's license for the Kovyktinskoye
deposit with TNK's licenses for two adjacent gas-bearing fields, the Russian-Chinese sub-commission for cooperation
in power engineering was told at its session in Moscow on July 16.
Gas from the deposit is expected to be supplied to China through a future Eastern Siberia-China pipeline
subsequently.
