Brazilian Northeast region counts on floating power facilities

The Brazilian Northeast region will count on floating thermal electric power facilities as of September. A 30 MW facility will anchor in Sao Goncalo do Amarante (Ceara).
The facility will be leased by Coelce (Companhia Energetica do Ceara) for $ 315 per MW/hour. Other 50 MW facility might also be leased for two years term. The generators and turbines were produced by GE (General Electric). El Paso
Energy is intending to import two floating facilities to operate in the Northeast region with a 100 MW capacity each. The investment might be of $ 150 mm
