Sasol-Chevron considers to pour more investments into Venezuela

South African-US consortium Sasol-Chevron is considering pouring more than $ 5 bn into new projects to turn natural gas into liquefied fuels, Venezuela's top diplomat said.
"Sasol-Chevron could invest in three or four projects" from 2003 that would take $ 3 bn in investment in a first phase, and $ 2 bn to 3 bn in a second phase, Foreign Minister Luis Alfonso Davila said in Durban, South Africa, where he was attending a UN conference against racism.

Davila met with Sasol-Chevron executives on the sidelines of the UN conference. Venezuela ranks seventh worldwide in terms of its proven natural gas reserves, and first in Latin America.
