Shell only company that does not buy naphtha from Petropars

Sep 14, 2001 02:00 AM

The Paraguayan oil company Petropars informed that Shell was the only distributor that did not buy naphtha from the state-owned company due to price policies. Petropars added that other companies like Esso, Texaco, Copetrol, Barcos y Rodados and Lubripar purchased naphtha from the company on a regular basis.

The Paraguayan government deregulated the importation of naphtha, whose price was defined by Petropars. The market has now the opportunity of purchasing naphtha from Shell as well.
