Brazilian priority program includes 15 new power facilities

The Brazilian government has included on its priority program PPT (Programa Prioritario de Termeletricas) 15 projects for the construction of thermal electric power facilities. Together the plants will generate 4,600 MW, and will require $ 2.7 bn investment, announced the minister Mr Jose Jorge. The projects will absorb 40 mm cm of natural gas imported from Bolivia.

They are: Coteminas (90 MW), Fortaleza (307 MW), Termoacu (325 MW), Termosergipe (90 MW), Termoceara MPX (270 MW), Ajona (80 MW), Campos (80 MW), CCBS (440 MW), Norte Capixaba (250 MW), Norte Fluminense (778 MW), Santa Cruz (320 MW), Sao Goncalo (193 MW), Termo Catarinense Norte (350 MW), Termogaucha (500 MW), Vitoria (500 MW).
