Brazilian refinery expansion requires $ 650 mm investment

The expansion of the Brazilian refinery Refap (Refinaria Alberto Pasqualini) from the current 20,000 to 30,000 cm daily will demand $ 650 mm investment. A $ 311 mm sum will be financed by JBIC (Japan Bank for International Corporation).
The project will involve a logistic operation that will allow the transportation of machinery and equipment through the highway BR-116, informed the engineering Mr Francisco Ramos. The work will be concluded until October 2003.
