Nigeria to soon begin supplying refined oil to Guinea

Nigeria will soon begin supplying refined oil to war-torn Guinea, which is facing an energy crisis, officials said. Under the deal, the state-run Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. (NNPC) will supply 15 tons of kerosene, diesel and petrol each to Guinea every month.
The deal was announced in Abuja when Guinean Ambassador to Nigeria Mamadi Traore met NNPC managing director Jackson Gaius-Obaseki, industry officials told. Gaius-Obaseki said the decision was part of efforts to boost trade ties between the two neighbours and to assist needy African countries.

Nigeria earlier said it was considering a request by Ivory Coast's state-run oil refining company to buy 50,000 bpd of crude oil from the NNPC. Oil-rich Nigeria, is Africa's largest producer, with an output of more than 2 mm bpd.
