Egypt's proven natural gas reserves have risen to 55 tcf (1.57 tcm) at the beginning of September, according to an oil ministry spokesman.
The figure rose on the back of new discoveries and further studies of existing reserves, the spokesman said. "Egypt pumps over 735,000 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 515,000 bpd of oil equivalent of natural gas," he added.
