Russia believes Sakhalin-I and -II projects need different pipelines

Russia has agreed in principle to build two different pipeline systems for the Sakhalin-I and Sakhalin-II projects. The total cost of the projects is $ 2 bn.
Earlier, Russia wanted companies participating in the two Sakhalin projects to create a single transportation system in order to cut spending by investors and Russia. Now the Russian government wants investors to place the bulk of orders for pipelines at Russian enterprises.
