Russia reports on oil and gas exports in 2001

Russian oil exports increased 12 % year-on-year to amount to 147.943 mm tons in 2001, a source in the State Customs Committee told. In cost terms exports last year amounted to $ 22.92 bn, which was $ 770 mm less than in the previous year, the source said.
According to the source, exports to outside the CIS amounted to 137.05 mm tons of crude for $ 21.43 bn, with supplies to the CIS of 10.89 mm tons ($ 1.49 bn). Exports of oil products last year increased 16 % to reach 70.43 mm tons ($ 10.23 bn). Exports to outside the CIS amounted to 68.31 mm tons for $ 9.77 bn, with exports the CIS of 2.12 mm tons ($ 458.2 mm).

According to the State Customs Committee, Russia exported 3.49 mm tons of gasoline for $ 688.3 mm in 2001, in addition to 25.9 mm tons of diesel ($ 5.098 bn) and 35.35 mm tons of fuel oil ($ 3.318 bn). Exports of natural gas fell 7 % year-on-year to amount to 163.9 bn cm for $ 17.238 bn, last year.
Exports to outside the CIS amounted to 131.9 bn cm, with exports to the CIS of 32 bn cm. Oil imports last year amounted to 5.033 mm tons for $ 456.1 mm, with oil product imports of 136,000 tons ($ 100.9 mm).
