Russian liquefied gas output reaches 7 mm tons

The output of liquefied gas amounted to 6.85 mm tons in Russia in 2001, according to the Russian Energy Ministry. Supplies to meet industry needs equalled 2.22 mm tons, or 118 % of the 2000 level.
The consumption of liquefied gas as raw materials for petrochemistry grew by 9 % to 3.730 mm tons last year.
