Report on Russian oil and gas production

Russia produced 30.497 mm tons of oil, including gas condensate, in January 2002, 8.5 % more than in the same month of last year, the State Statistics Committee told. The committees said oil production minus gas condensate grew 8.4 % to 29.451 mm tons.

The biggest producers in January were LUKoil with 5.214 mm tons, down 2.35 % year-on-year; Yukos with 4.278 mm tons, up 19.5 %; Surgutneftegaz with 3.946 mm tons, up 10.29 %; Tyumen Oil with 2.852 mm tons, up 7.08 %; and Tatneft with 2.085 mm tons, a decrease of 0.16 %. Russia in January produced 55.662 bn cm of gas, 2.04 % more year-on-year. Gazprom produced 48.783 bn cm, or 0.65 % more.
