Russia plans new pipeline to carry oil to East Asia markets

Russian Energy Minister Igor Yusufov has announced that an oil pipeline construction project is being planned to make it possible to export Russian oil to the Japanese, Chinese and South Korean markets. The oil pipeline is expected to be laid from Angarsk to Nakhodka along the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) railroad.

If implemented, the project will allow Russia to export an additional 40 mm tpy of oil.
