Russia to close oil transportation deals with Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan

According to Russian Deputy Premier Viktor Khristenko, Russia plans to conclude long-term agreements on oil transportation with Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan for 15 and 10 years, respectively. According to Khristenko, Russia should focus on long-term agreements rather than short-term ones in order to ensure the requisite amount of investment.
According to the government, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan plan to transport 2.5 mm and 17 mm tons of oil via Russia, respectively.
