Study anticipates substantial growth in Middle East gas reserves

A recently published economic study in Riyadh on the future of gas consumption in the Arab World anticipates substantial growth in the sector in terms of existing gas reserves, gas production and gas consumption. The study predicts the volume of the confirmed gas reserves in the Arab World to double from 9 tcm to 28.5 tcm in the near future.

Twenty-four % of the gas reserves are located in Qatar, 19.7 % in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 17.6 % in Saudi Arabia and 12.8 % in Algeria.
