Oct 16, 2002 02:00 AM

Kazakhstan's oil output in the first nine months of 2002 rose by 15.8 % on the year to 30.684 mm tons from 26.49 mm tons, the State Statistics Agency said. This is equivalent to some 809,735 bpd, up from 697,580 bpd a year earlier.
Kazakhstan's oil and natural gas condensate exports in January-August rose 19 % on the year to 25.1 mm tons, of which 6.271 mm tons were exported to countries of the former Soviet Union. The agency releases export data with a one-month lag due to delays in collecting it from customs authorities.

Kazakhstan plans to boost its oil output to over 1.1 mm bpd by 2004, from around 780,000 bpd last year.
Below is a breakdown of Kazakhstan's oil, gas and refined products output in January-September, compared with the same period last year. All figures are in millions of tons, except where noted.
