Islamabad has declared that the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), as an operator, has made another oil and gas discovery. The joint venture includes OGDCL 76 %, OPI 19 %, and GHPL 5 %.
This discovery has been made on Kaheem Daho well, located 22 km south-east of Sanghar in Sindh province.

This is the seventh discovery made by OGDCL in barely over a year. It may be recalled that the earlier six discoveries had resulted in 8,500 barrels of oil and 50 mm cfpd of gas, which will contribute $ 130 mm towards import substitution.
The company's present production level is 24,500 barrel of oil, 800 cf of gas, 210 tons of LPG and 60 tons of sulphur per day.
