The Russian company Gazprom and the Uzbek oil-and-gas company have concluded an agreement on strategic cooperation which, specifically, envisages the delivery of Uzbek gas to Russia in 2003-12.
From 2005 the volume of Russia's gas purchases from Uzbekistan will reach 10 bn cm. annually. The Uzbek and Russian sides also agreed on cooperation in gas extraction on terms of the joint implementation of the project.

Shokhpasta gas condensate deposit will be developed on the same terms. The contract to prepare a feasibility report for investment has already been signed by representatives of Gazprom's subsidiary, the closed joint-stock company Zarubezhneftegaz, and of the Uzbek oil-and-gas research institute.
