Russia increases oil production
In 2004 March the production of motor gasoline in Russia increased by 8.9 % to 2.49 mm tons from February, says the
bulletin of the Federal State Statistics Service. Under it, the production of oil including gas condensate reached
37.8 mm tons in March, or 7.6 % more than in February.
In the 2004 first quarter, the production of motor gasoline stood at 7.2 mm tons, the total volume of production and
primary refining of oil stood at 110.2 mm and 47.35 mm tons, respectively.
Primary oil refining in March in comparison with February increased by 5.2 % to 16.2 mm tons.
In March the ratio of prices set by producers of motor gasoline and oil was 2.9 times, and that of domestic and
world-market prices (Urals oil) was 35.2 % in March against 37 % in February.
