The Indonesian government said only around 28 % of oil/gas blocks offered to investors have produced oil or gas.
Oil and Gas Director General Iin Arifin Takhyan said 100 of 140 oil blocks, which have been given to oil contractors, have not produced oil or gas.

Iin said the 100 oil blocks are still under exploration, therefore, there is no guarantee that they will turn out oil.
Indonesia offers various types of contracts to oil investors including enhanced oil recovery, joint operation assistance, joint operating body, production sharing contract and technical assistance contracts.
