India reports on crude output

India's crude oil production rose 8.1 % to 2.883 mm tons in May on higher output from ONGC's Mumbai High fields.
Output from Mumbai High jumped 14.3 % to 1.555 mm tons, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Refinery output rose 13.6 % to 10.983 mm tons in May as opposed to 9.667 mm tons in the same month last fiscal.
Crude production went up by 9.4 % in April-May to 5.731 mm tons as against 5.239 mm tons in the same period last fiscal.

Refineries operated at 109.5 % of the capacity to produce 21.406 mm tons of petroleum products in April-May as opposed to 18.870 mm tons of products at 98.7 % of the capacity utilisation in the same period the previous year.
Natural gas production, however, fell 2.6 % to 2210 mm cm in May and by 3.1 % to 4.370 mm cm in April-May on account of decreased output from the western offshore.
