Azerbaijan and Russia to start inspections on Caspian Sea

The Accountancy Chambers of Russia and Azerbaijan will consider organizing joint oil and gas inspections on the Caspian Sea, chairman of Russia’s Accountancy Chamber Sergei Stepashin told upon arriving in Baku on a four-day official visit.
"The goal of my visit is to discuss with the Azerbaijani side issues related to organizing joint inspections on the Caspian Sea and in the oil and gas sector, including environmental issues and protection of fish", Stepashin said.

In a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, the Russian official said that the joint board meeting of the Azerbaijani and Russian accountancy chambers scheduled to be held in Moscow in 2005 would serve to the development of bilateral relations.
Stepashin will also hold meetings at the Milli Majlis (parliament) and the Azerbaijan Accountancy Chamber during the visit.
