Oct 12, 2004 02:00 AM

Scottish Gas owner Centrica has acquired Glens of Foudland Windfarm, a subsidiary of Renewable Energy Systems UK, which owns a 26-MW onshore windfarm project near Huntly in the north-east of Scotland.
The total consideration to acquire the company and bring the windfarm into operation for an initial five years is around £ 31 mm.

Construction of the wind farm, which will be capable of generating enough power for 20,000 homes when it comes online in mid-2005, started earlier this year.
