Offshore gas rig installed in Libya

The structure of the offshore rig “Sabartha”, one of the main components of the mega Libyan gas project was installed.
The rig is for the West (Libya) Gas project, through which 1,000 mm cf of natural gas would be produced daily as well as about 65,000 barrels of densities per day.

A report said, "The rig was installed 200 meters deep into the sea, in its place in the Sea of Peace Gas field, 110 km north of Tripoli, to form the pillar of West of Tripoli Gas Project."
The report added, "The Sabartha offshore rig was ordered at the cost of $ 750 mm, and will pump gas production through two immersed pipelines to a gas treatment planet at Mellita, where the treatment will take place, and sulphur will be extracted, then the production would be pumped into the domestic market, and the surplus would be exported through the under the sea pipeline to Europe."
