Kazakhstan reports on oil and condensate exports
Kazakhstan exported 39.57 mm tons of oil and gas condensate in January-September 2004, up 19 % year- on-year, the
Kazakh National Statistics Agency said.
In monetary terms, exports of oil and gas condensate in the first eight months of the year amounted to $ 7.89 bn, up
50 % on the same period last year.
The agency noted that imports of natural gas in January-September this year amounted to 9.115 bn cm for $ 288.7 mm,
up 40 % and 51 % respectively year-on-year.
The source said that in the first nine months of 2004 the country exported 1.747 mm tons of oil products (up 21 %)
for $ 291.7 mm (up 57 %), while imports of oil products amounted to 1.36 mm tons for $ 330.7 mm -- up 100 % and 110 %
respectively.
The source also said that in January-September 2004 the country produced 37.43 mm tons of oil, up 12 % from the same
period last year.
Production of gas condensate increased 36 % to 5.89 mm tons.
