Kazakhstan reports on oil production

Production of oil and gas condensate in Kazakhstan in January-October 2004 totalled 48.5 mm tons, 14.9 % more than in the same period in 2003, the staff of the Kazakh President reported.
In this period gas production amounted to 16.4 bn cm, 46.2 % more than in January-October 2003.

Kazakhstan annually producing about 60 mm tons of oil expects to triple oil production by 2015. These plans are associated with the development of oil fields on the Caspian Sea shelf.
Prospected oil and gas land resources in Kazakhstan total 4 bn tons and 3 tcm correspondingly. Resources of the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea are estimated at 15 bn tons of reference fuel.
