Oct 11, 2004 02:00 AM

A representative of Agip noted that exchange of viewpoints between the National Iranian Oil Company and international oil majors will facilitate implementation of oil projects inside the country.
Khaled Matourianpour told that there are potential capacities for the implementation of oil industry projects that are good grounds for cooperation with international oil companies. He said a tripartite meeting between Iranian experts and their counterparts from Norway and the World Bank will be a good opportunity for identifying problems facing associated gas gathering projects.

Matourianpour said associated gas was a natural outcome of most oil field development projects and gathering them did not needed modern technology.
He noted that Agip is a contractor for phases 4 and 5 of South Pars gas field, adding, "If gathering associated gas in Iran prove to be attractive enough, our company is ready to implement that project and even to finance it," he noted.
