Tolkynneftegaz to build gas plant in Kazakhstan

Kazakh oil company Tolkynneftegaz plans to build a gas processing plant in Mangistau region at an estimated cost of $ 97 mm, Adilbek Kusherov, director of the regional economics, industry and trade committee told.
He said that the plant will be able to process 10 mm cmpd of natural gas, produced at the Tolkyn field by Tolkynneftegaz, and also at other nearby fields. The plant plans to produce liquid propane and butane and pentane mixes.

Kusherov said that the plant should be completed in 2006 and construction will be carried out using a credit from a commercial bank in the republic.
Tolkynneftegaz is currently preparing a feasibility study for the project and is setting up a company to build the plant.
