BP expects 10.0 % annual rise in daily oil output

Jan 12, 2005 01:00 AM

British oil giant BP said its average daily production for 2004 was expected to be around 3.995 mm boe, an increase of more than 10 % compared with a year earlier.
Production was expected to be around 4.090 mm boe during the fourth quarter, up 4.0 % from the same period in 2003, BP said in a trading update.

BP added that fourth-quarter group costs were expected to be around $ 250 mm (EUR 191 mm) more than during the third quarter, in part due to higher exploration write-offs and Hurricane Ivan, which damaged oil operations in the Gulf of Mexico last September.
BP was to publish its final full-year results on February 8.
