Saudi Aramco to open Qateef oil facility

Saudi Aramco will soon officially open a crude oil processing facility in Qateef which will handle 800,000 bpd.
"The implementation of this gigantic project embodies the great role and responsibility being shouldered by Saudi Aramco towards the international markets," said Abdullah Bin Juma, President of Saudi Aramco.

The project came in under budget and was completed ahead of schedule.
"This achievement provides clear evidence that the national engineering groups have become capable of efficiently managing gigantic projects," he said. "Such projects will enable the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to honour its commitments to consumers," he said.

The facility will also produce hundreds of millions of cf of gas.
