The company Zeromax (US) is to carry out a project in Uzbekistan to utilize associated gas at the Kokdumalak field in Kashkadarya region, at a total cost of $ 30.9 mm, a source in the national holding company Uzbekneftegaz told.
The source said that according to a contract between Zeromax and Uzbekneftegaz, the US company will develop a scheme for financing the project using credits from foreign banks, and will supply equipment for a compressor station and install it.

This compressor station will make it possible to utilize low-pressure oil gasses that have been flared up to now. The project will mean that the republic receives up to 1.1 bn cm of additional oil gas per year.
The source said that the project is being implemented as part of an Uzbekneftegaz energy conservation program.
