Gazprom increases gas exports

Gazprom increased gas exports by 11.8 % to 141.22 bn cm in the first nine months of 2004 in comparison to the same period in 2003, the gas holding's subsidiary Gazexport reported.
Exports to countries outside the CIS gained 7.7 % to 134.81 bn cm in the reported period against 125.12 bn cm last year.

Exports to western Europe amounted to 96.62 bn cm compared to 84.52 bn cm in 2003. In particular, some 37.18 bn cm were delivered to Germany, some 19.37 bn cm to Italy and some 12.73 bn cm to France.
In addition, Gazprom started exporting gas to Great Britain having delivered 80 mm cm of gas in the reported period.
