World Oil Trade Centre to be established on Kish Island

The World Oil Trade Centre is to be established on Kish Island, according to the Kish Free Trade Zone Organization.
The managing director of the support and procurement Kala Naft Company was also quotes as saying that establishment of the centre will draw more industrialists and oil sector service entrepreneurs to Kish Free Trade Zone (KFTZ).

Mohammad Taqi Amanpur, moreover, said that 2-5,000-square-meter sites have been prepared and may now be purchased or leased for use as repair and production shops as well as warehouses designed to provide parts and services.
High-rise apartment blocks have been constructed for use by banks, insurance companies and stock exchange centres, he said.

Referring to the great interest expressed by oil companies to operate in the KFTZ, Amanpur added that over the past 30 years several oil companies have registered in the island and are now providing services such as drilling, helicopter and parts` warehousing.
