A British firm will invest $ 100 mm to set up a bio-diesel project in Zambia that will produce diesel from a plant known as jathropa.
The report quoted Foreign Minister Lieutenant General Ronnie Shikapwasha as saying that the unidentified British firm has already started with the plantation of a nursery in Keembe, Southern Province, about 150 km to the south of Zambian capital Lusaka.

Shikapwasha, a member of parliament from Keembe, said the company would also set up a factory for the production of diesel.
Similar projects have succeeded in other countries such as Kenya, he said.
